We are proud to be “Protecting a Town For All Time ” Since 1881 and are pleased to announce our New Website to the public.

This website is intended to inform, educate and provide all necessary information about our Department, Fire Commission and Fire Prevention and Safety.

The Thomaston Fire Department is an all-volunteer department that has been providing fire protection and emergency response to the residents of Thomaston.  The Department was organized in 1881 and has continued to be 100% volunteer-operated.

The mission of the Thomaston Fire Department is to provide protection of life, property, and the environment from the effects of fires, other emergencies and hazards. We engage the community in our mission through progressive community outreach. We will maintain a constant state of readiness to respond to all requests for services through training, maintenance of equipment, and a desire to serve our community.
